Once again hoping that more of the class of '64 will discover and contribute to the weblog. I did get my one new years resolution completed for '07: a living will on Dec. 31, phew! close one. Another grandchild was added to the family in October.

I haven't seen any back-to-school ads yet, and no recent posts at Swaine.com or here for that matter so no idea what's happening with the class of '64 but I just remembered a fellow classmate that might qualify as an honorary '64 alumni. Remember Bruce Hemingway? Big guy, smart too. He was on LaRue St. with Sally and I from about grade 7 or 8 and then must have left the area by grade 10 or so. Will Google him and see what's available there. On Mr. Knepp's home room I mentioned Candy W. and Lawrence Gertner if I have that right and when I talked to Ron Goorhouse a few years ago he mentioned his brother Terry. Lawrence drove that '28 or so Ford hot rod and his sister was in our class for a while too and then something about a fire in California - 61 or 62 maybe...

Going through the JHS yearbook, School Bell Echoes, it says that Skip, Mandy, Ann, Kathy, Judith, Diana, Larry, Roxie, Charlotte, Kay, Donna, Karen Nancy, Sheila, Grace, Cheryl, Bonny and I are the youngest in the class and are next up to turn 60 this year so I hope that more of you stop by to say hello soon. Real soon - as we are not all going to make the 50th reunion. I noticed the comment that was posted about Roger Huckstead and that got me to thinking that an effort will have to be made to get the class online before the obits start being the only posts... it's up to you, some of us are right here and more than willing to say hi.

Breakfast meeting

There has been some discussion on having a breakfast meeting occasionally with all that would like to attend just to have a few more laughs and to keep in touch. I think it is a great idea. Nothing has been set up just yet. The idea is being extended to all the classmates just to see if it would fly. Therefore; for those of you that have joined the Blogger, your input is requested. We could time it with a time when someone from a distance comes to visit. Then some of us would or could get together. If no one was coming then we could travel to say, Indianapolis. That way Gene BeMiller could visit with us. He has a spinal problem and cannot travel distances easily. It would be great to see ol' Gene-o. Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks, Mike Mac

You did not scew up. I have been so sick I really have not been on the computer. I have lived in Denver since 1981 working for Lockheed Martin Space Division. Came down with lymphona about 3 1/2 yeas ago. I never got married. I now live with of friend of 22 years. I'm doing bad enough now that I went on home hospice this week. My friend is an RN so it helps to have a live in nurse. I hardly ever get on the computer anymore. It's too draining. This is not the kind of bio you were expecting but sorry to say that’s my life right now. Good luck with the reunion. Roger

Great Time at Re-onion

I just hope that everyone had as good of a time as I did seeing and hugging everybody. For all that has changed in the last 40 years still seems very little has made much difference. For those of you that were unable to attend, you missed a good party and we missed you. There was so much laughter that I felt like it was my family when I was a little kid. When I closed my eyes it was the same sounds as when I used to go to our family gatherings and reunions. Lots of back slapping and hugs all around. Thanks to all who attended and made the reunion a great time for all of us. Mike Mac

A nice dinner with a little wine and friends from my youth.
The time went by so fast.
I enjoyed seeing all who where there from near & far
and look forward to seeing those who were unable to attend at our next get-together.

To all, I have not spoken with that sweet little Mary Holt for 40 years. In the last few weeks we have e-mailed a few times and I think I called her once. Seems like we had been communicating all along. Wish that we had. But it is never too late to enjoy the old friendships that used to exist or to start one that could be just great. Mary had sent me a little bio to read for the class reunion and a couple of pictures as she is unable to attend.
